Over the past 20 years, the Reading Neck and Spine Center has been one of the top-rated spine centers in Central Pennsylvania. The spine center, located in Central Pennsylvania — with offices in Reading and Pottsville — includes the expertise of David Abraham, MD, a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon. Dr. Abraham collaborates with physical medicine and rehabilitation MDs and pain management physicians in the Pottsville region who all specialize in low back pain and neck pain. Additionally, the Reading Neck and Spine Center refers to local spine therapists near patient homes in the Pottsville area.

Our goal is to provide a multi-disciplinary approach for back pain and neck pain patients. We try to exhaust non-surgical treatment options in advance of surgery. In some cases, a herniated disc, stenosis or other back or neck problem can require spine surgery to relieve pain symptoms. For those patients needing neck or back surgery, we use minimally invasive spine surgery techniques to reduce the length of the incision, lessen time in the hospital, and speed return to activity and return to work with a less painful recovery.

The spine center satellite location is located in Pottsville, in Schuylkill County. The spine center is referred patients from across the Schuylkill region as well as patients from Wilkes-Barre, PA. We recognize the challenges of work-related back and neck pain, and help patients to recover to return to their favorite activity.

Those with back pain or neck pain often struggle to find a back doctor or spine center that can provide a second opinion for spine surgery and offer nonsurgical treatment for back pain, neck pain, scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and pain symptoms related to a herniated disc. The regional spine center provides spinal injections, minimally invasive spine surgery, artificial disc replacement surgery and other advances in spine care.

The Reading Neck and Spine Center has developed a front/back Mini-Brochure containing valuable information for patients, referral sources, and case managers. The Mini-Brochure provides information about The Reading Neck and Spine Center, treatment for work related injuries, physician biographies, and resources for how to get back to life in 2016.
